The National Retail Federation (NRF), reported 2022 Valentine’s Day overall spending reached $23.9 billion, an increase of $2.1 billion (9.6 percent) over 2021. Individual spending in 2022 was $175.41 per person, up 6.5 % from $164.76 in 2021. 

Valentine’s Day floral purchasers tend to be men, married with children, and have full-time employment according to SAF. IFPA research indicates,

2023 Valentine’s Day is on a Tuesday which is a great for the industry since the holiday occurring on a weekday typically means around 10 percent higher sales on average than when it falls on a weekend day according to Florist Review.
