Updated Alert: June 27, 2025 - USDA Confirms MASC Payments Will Distribute Soon

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) has confirmed that payments from the Marketing Assistance for Specialty Crops (MASC) program will be distributed in the coming days.

The $2 billion program, designed to support specialty crop growers, closed its application period on January 8, 2025. While many applicants are still awaiting payment, USDA announced the remaining $1.3 billion in funding will soon be disbursed.

Administered by USDA’s Farm Service Agency, MASC provides eligible specialty crop producers with marketing assistance payments to help expand domestic markets or develop new outlets for their crops.

If you are experiencing issues receiving payments for your approved applications, please inform IFPA by contacting Sara Neagu-Reed, IFPA Director of Production & Environmental Policy.

In November, IFPA and the Specialty Crop Farm Bill Alliance commended USDA for launching this specialty crop funding and urged Congress to deliver additional relief for growers.
